ABOUT

LOGO-FILES-1_1.png

We are a faith-based organization focused on building bridges and restoring lives by providing counseling, coaching, biblical teaching, and mentoring services for men, women, and children. We provide mental, social, and spiritual health services to individuals, groups, couples, and families.

We exist to help others become more resilient, learn to develop more coping skills, and begin to find a more meaningful life by establishing a personal relationship with Christ.

We focus solely on you, and we have a non-judgmental and unbiased ear to address your needs.

Our goal is to introduce a new way of living by addressing adverse childhood experiences, poor self-esteem, dysfunctional family relationships, social issues, community relationships, and addictions by partnering coping skills with the word of God.

We strive to help men, women, and children become emotionally balanced, mentally sound, socially functional, and spiritually grounded by applying Christian faith principles.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to  SAVE, TEACH, EVANGELIZE, and MINISTER to the broken-hearted.

OUR FOUNDERS

Marshall “Earl” Ayers Jr was born and raised in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and is the oldest of five brothers. He always jokes about his parents made just enough income so that he could be in a middle-class neighborhood to experience poverty among his white peers. He accredited those experiences by benefiting from racial inequality, socioeconomic, and navigating through white spaces while maintaining connection to his cultural community.  He often credits his greatest asset as having the ability to build and strengthen racial relationships

Marshall is a pastor as well as a Certified Life Coach,  a graduate of Teen Challenge Ministries, and Three Rivers College and attended Austin Peay State University on a basketball scholarship.

Despite the challenges of addiction and co-occurring mental struggles, Marshall was able to overcome addiction and accomplish his vision of establishing Broken Branches Ministries. He is the co-founder of Broken Branches Ministries and is very passionate about helping men and women build bridges towards their goals in life. He has done pastoral counseling with men in Teen Challenge, and the Nehemiah Project and has worked with diverse populations through their recovery.

His favorite quote is “broken people come from broken relationships.”

Karen Ayers is a native of Detroit, Michigan who has dedicated her life to serving, encouraging, coaching, and motivating others.  She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a published author, a graduate of Spelman College and Liberty University, and most importantly, a woman of God committed to teaching the word of God and discipling others.

Karen specializes in trauma, depression, anxiety, and grief related to past and present life events. She is an empathetic listener who has the heart to hear and walk alongside people who are struggling with situations that have them stuck due to the hurts that they have experienced in their lives. Her goal is to help you uncover the greatness that is already in you, empower you to activate this greatness and provide you tools for you to lead a life that is fulfilling and provides balance.

She is the co-founder of Broken Branches Ministries and co-owner of Broken Branches Counseling, along with her husband, Marshall.

Karen’s favorite quote is “check your motives.”

Together they are a power couple devoted to teaching, equipping, and walking people through healing that comes from the unadulterated word of God.
